Malton Food Lovers Festival returns this year on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2015. The town is making its name as one of Yorkshire's top foodie destinations and the annual two day food festival attracts over 20,000 visitors with its gastronomic delights and events.
With over 160 stalls showing off the best of Yorkshire produce and events featuring numerous acclaimed chefs and food producers, from seafood specialists to cider making monks, there is something for every taste.
The 2015 line-up includes Levi Roots, Prue Leith, BBC’s Valentine Warner and food writers William Sitwell and Diana Henry. Yorkshire’s own Michelin starred chefs Andrew Pern (The Star Inn, Harome) and James Mackenzie (The Pipe and Glass, South Dalton) will also star, alongside a host of other regional talent. Together they will offer demos, talks, cookery lessons, books signings and interviews.
There are activities for children and a ‘Community Kitchen’ area where budding local chefs and community groups are invited to set up stall. There is live music throughout the day and this extends into the Saturday evening as part of the new Night Market and street food party.
