Hyde Park Hotel

HYDE PARK HOTEL. Mill Street.
Opened as a pub in 1830 and was behind the present building. It was a beer house and in the early days was called the Malt Shovel. The name was changed when a new Malt Shovel was built in Commercial Street. It received a full licence in 1887, the present building was opened in 1938. Hyde Park (Norton Pubs History)
