Those present: Malcolm Chalk, John Marshall, Sylvia Milson, Paul Andrews, Zoe Plummer, Tim Sinclair, Denys Townsend, Jeremy Powell, Tracey Holroyd

Town Trail: Malcolm Chalk is working hard on the Malton Town Trail. This is a fold out leaflet containing information and a walk around the Town. There is a limited amount of advertising space on it– if you are interested, please let Malcolm know. Advertising costs £40, and lasts for the life of the Town Trail (probably two years). There will be a print run of 5000, followed by more print runs as necessary. The leaflets will be given out free at the Northern Motor Caravan Show, plus the Tourist Info offices, Pubs, Cafés, Cinema etc.
Town Centre Signs: There is a meeting with the Council on Friday to discuss the re-vamp of all the Town Centre signage.
For Life Eco Bags: There has been coverage in the Gazette, Mercury and Yorkshire Post re the For Life green eco bags. The winning design has been chosen and publicised in the papers. The bags will be available in 3 - 4 weeks. They will be available in about 20 various outlets around Malton and will cost £2.50
Malton Town Strategy Meetings: Various suggestions are being discussed by the council and the steering group re the possible developments that may be taking place on the Wentworth Street Car Park and the Showfield Lane site. We strongly suggest that all interested parties attend the EGM on 21st May to discuss.
Subs: Subs are due for this year. Sylvia will be contacting members to re-join.
Celebrate Malton and other events: There will be no Celebrate Malton event this year, as there is an ‘Explosion of Art Festival’ instead. This will take place 12-19th July, in all of Malton. BiA members will be offering assistance as needed and we are to request free parking in Malton for the duration of the event.
Motor Show: Minster FM will be organising this event. It will be held on 7.9.08
Dickens Christmas: A Dickens weekend is to be planned around Christmas. A group will be formed to organise it.
